Distinguished Principal/Vice-Principal Award
Administered by the Canadian Association of Principals
Sponsored by McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Ltd.

Recognizes  exemplary principals/vice-principals who demonstrate strong commitment to educational leadership.

The winner will be an honoured guest at the National Conference of the Canadian Association of Principals and a $5000 donation will be made to the Canadian Association of Principals' Foundation in the recipient's name.

Fred L. Bartlett Memorial Award
Administered by the Ontario Public School Boards' Association

Recognizes outstanding contribution by a member of a school board to education throughout Ontario through constructive participation in education affairs over a number of years or for work on some recent and specific project which has had provincial impact.

The Award is a large trophy, bearing shields, with the names of the successful candidates, which remains in the OPSBA office. Each winner will receive a smaller replica of the trophy.

Bayer Inc. Award for High School Chemistry Teachers
Administered by the Chemical Institute of Canada
Funded by Bayer Rubber Inc.

Recognizes outstanding contributions in high school chemistry teaching in Canada.

The recipient is presented with a cash prize of $500 and one-year membership in the CIC at the Canadian Society for Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering Conference, the Chemical Education Conference OR at a local section meeting (which ever is most convenient for the winner); up to 2 awards are given each year.

Irwin Talesnick Award for Excellence in Teaching of Science
Administered by the Science Teachers' Association of Ontario

Recognizes outstanding performance for at least 5 years both in the classroom and beyond, by a high school or elementary science teacher who is a member of STAO.

The recipient receives a certificate, which is presented at the annual STAO Conference in the Fall.

Jack Bell Leadership Award in Science Education
Administered and funded by the Science Teachers' Association of Ontario

Recognizes outstanding leadership in direct contributions to large scale improvement of science education at all levels in Ontario; the recipient must be a member of STAO.

The recipient receives a certificate, which is presented at the annual STAO Conference in the Fall.

The nominator must be a person who has worked with the nominee, a supervisor of the nominee, a person with whom the nominee is or has been involved, or others as seen fit by the Awards Committee

NOVA Chemicals Ltd. Award for Chemistry Teaching
Administered by the Canadian Society for Chemical Technology
Funded by NOVA Chemicals Ltd.

Recognizes an individual who has contributed to teaching and has had a great influence upon students. The staff of any Community College, Technical Institute or Collège d'Enseignement Général et Professionel (CEGEP) in Canada are eligible candidates.

The receipient receives a cash prize of $1,000 and a commemorative scroll at the Conference ( travel costs and conference registration if applicable)

Union Carbide Award for Chemical Education
Administered by the Chemical Institute of Canada
Funded by Union Carbide Canada Ltd.

Recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions in Canada to education in any level in the field of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

The recipient receives a cash prize of $1000, up to 400$ in travel expenses, and a commemorative framed scroll.
